Hello

Welcome to Speech Language Learning. I am so excited to work with you!

My Story

Welcome! With over two decades of experience as an educator and speech-language pathologist, I've worked across various settings, including early intervention, schools, and clinics. My journey has led me to prestigious institutions like the American Institute for Stuttering, where I've honed my skills and deepened my passion for helping others communicate effectively.

As a New York State-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every session. My academic journey includes a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University and an MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park.

For me, creating a fun and motivating learning environment is paramount. I believe in fostering mutual respect and collaboration, recognizing that actual change occurs when trust is established between myself and my clients. In line with the anti-ableist movement, I approach goal-setting with a client-centered perspective, honoring and leveraging each individual's unique strengths and gifts.

My expertise extends to neurodivergence, including autism, ADHD, stuttering, and dyslexia. In addition to being an SLP, I serve as an executive function coach and supervisor within the Organizational Tutors Network, bringing a holistic approach to my practice. Drawing from my diverse background as a special education teacher, developmental learning specialist, and speech-language pathologist, I offer comprehensive support tailored to the needs of each client.

Perhaps most importantly, I'm a proud mother to a 9-year-old son with ADHD. Through firsthand experience, I understand the challenges and blessings of raising a child with a beautifully unique brain. This personal connection fuels my dedication to supporting individuals and families on their journey to communication success.

Thank you for visiting my website. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you and embark on this meaningful journey together!
